Mrs. Christean Thompson Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA A celebration of life service for Alma Christean Silman Thompson, 85 will be held at 2:30 PM, Saturday, June 30, 2007 at The Pentecostals of the Twin Cities, West Monroe, LA with Pastor Mark Foster, Pastor Emeritus Fred Foster and Assistant Pastor Jeremy Foster officiating. Interment will follow at Twin Cities Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA. Christean was born December 16, 1921 in Atlanta, LA and went to be with Jesus June 28, 2007. A devoted Christian attending The Pentecostals of the Twin Cities Church for 54 years. She loved her church and the members, always praying for her family. Noted for her cooking and the many wedding cakes derived from her labors of love. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billie O. Thompson, her parents, Willis and Martha Silman; brothers, M. L. Silman and Clyde Silman; sisters, Hazel Tarver and Hattie Manning. Mrs. Thompson is survived by daughters, Martha T. Boyd and husband Wayne of West Monroe, Debi T. Mayo and husband Jeff of West Monroe; grandchildren, Paris Carter and husband Sidney, Doyle Boyd II and wife Tracy, Casey Cox, Kyle Mayo and Colby Mayo; great grandchildren; Christopher Tillman, Duston Boyd, MaKenzie Carter, Kelsey Lee and Brittney Lee; numerous nieces and nephews. Special thanks to all the nurses and staff on the 6th floor at Glenwood Hospital. Pallbearers will be Richard Armolt, Gleason Copeland, Jay Copeland, Brad Ellerbe, Duane Hearold and Charles McQuillin. Visitation will be Friday, June 29, 2007 from 5PM until 8PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
