Graveside Services for Alice McCrary, age 97, of Farmerville, LA, will be held at Longstraw Cemetery, in Choudrant, LA, 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 8, 2023. Officiating will be Rev. Ron Lowe, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes of Ruston.
Alice was born on April 30, 1926, to Walter and Cynthia (Nicholson) Arrant in Ruston, LA. She was a former member of Temple Baptist Church, had been employed as an Artillery Shell Assembler at The Army Ammunition Plant in Minden, LA during World War II, and as a Central Supply Technician at the hospital. She is preceded in death by her parents Walter and Cynthia Arrant; her husband, Warren Lane McCrary; her son, Homer Wiley McCrary; grandson, Charles Adrian Phillips, Jr.; and her brother, Bubba Arrant.
She is survived by daughter, Cynthia Phillips and husband Charles, of Starkville, MS; grandchildren, Warren McCrary, Sarah Mantis, Marilyn McCrary, and Elizabeth McCrary; five great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
