A Memorial service for Alice Marie Lann Peterson will be held Saturday, April 23, 2022, at 2:00 P.M., at Big Creek Trade Days, 327 California Plant Road, Dubach, Louisiana.

Alice was born March 27, 1951, in El Paso, Texas, and passed away April 9, 2022, in Ruston, Louisiana. She was a retired administrative assistant to the public works director.

She enjoyed making and selling crafts along beside her daughter Jennifer at their booths at Big Creek Trade Days. She loved being a part of the Big Creek family. She has made so many wonderful friends there for the past 5 plus years.  Alice absolutely loved spending time with grandson Kayden, he was wrapped around her finger. She spoiled him so. She also loved living on the farm watching the cows and horse. She was very appreciative of her nephew, Max Colvin, for helping her run the farm. He was like a son to her.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Curtis Lann, Sr. and Fannie Maye Colvin Lann; stepmother, Bobbie Sue Lann; brother, Benjamin Curtis Lann, Jr.; sister-in-law, Lisa Vandevere Lann.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Austin (Robert) of Arcadia, Louisiana; brothers Robert Lann and Thomas Richard Lann of Arcadia, Louisiana; grandsons, Kayden Harley Auston of Arcadia, Louisiana, Payton Austin of Campti, Louisiana, Holden Austin of Blacklake, Louisiana; granddaughter, Ashley Lamkin of Jonesboro, Louisiana; great granddaughter, Izabella Brooks of Jonesboro, Louisiana; favorite nephew, Max Colvin of Simsboro, Louisiana; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Austin, Max Colvin, Ben Lann, Bob Lann and Louis Mitchell.
