I am sorry for the family's loss. I knew Mr. Edgar for about 44 years and he was always nice to me. In 1969 I had just come home from a year of service in Vietnam. While in the Army, the combat soldiers were told that if they made it home from Vietnam they would be given a steak supper. Well at Fort Lewis Washington, when I got home from overseas, I was given a steak supper prior to bieng sent home. It was okay, but my real steak supper came a few days later as Mr. Edgar welcomed me into his home and I had a real steak supper. I have never forgotten my first real sit down supper, since Vietam, where I was in the safety of an American home and in the company of good people. That night help me to put Vietnam behind me. Thanks Mr. Edgar and I know you are at peace.

Your parents meant so much to my family as we raised our sons in Swartz First Baptist. I'll always love and remember them for being the first to invite us over when we moved to Monroe in 1968. We enjoyed cake and coffee with them after church one Sunday night and began a long lasting friendship full of respect and admiration. I'll miss them both.
