Memorial services for Albert E. Holliday, age 84, of Monroe, LA will be at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Auburn Avenue Presbyterian Church of Monroe, LA with Rev. Steve Wilkins officiating. Services will be under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe. Mr. Holliday was born February 1, 1926 in Mena, AR and passed away December 20, 2010 in Monroe, LA at his home. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael E. Holliday; first wife, Sammie Putman Holliday; and grandson, Steven Greer. He was a member of Auburn Avenue Presbyterian Church. Mr. Holliday was a veteran who served in World War II in the U. S. Navy. Mr. Holliday is survived by his wife: Margaret Peggy Holliday; daughters: Bonnie Madden and husband, Don, Bennie Greer and husband, Ed, Sandra McBroom and husband, Robert; daughter-in-law Donna Holliday, and step-daughters, Terry Balton and husband, Jeff; and Donna Branson and husband, Kevin; 18 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Auburn Avenue Presbyterian Church, Geneva Academy or Premier Hospice.

Bonnie and Bennie It has been a long time, and I have lost touch with the Holliday family, but I want you to know you have never been far from my thoughts. Your folks had such a positive influence on Ray and me. It is hard to say good-bye to a mom or dad. My and prayers are with you and your families.

Dad wanted me to say he had a lot of good memories of Albert. He wanted me to say how sorry he is the hear about his passing. Albert called Dad a few years ago and he remembers their conversation and how much he appreciated your Dad calling him. May God bless your family and be with you in this time of sorrow. So wish we could be there for the service, but it is not to be. Our memories of Al are many, and his humor, wisdom and warmth will always be part of our lives. God's love enfolds him fully now, may God's peace be with all his family. Much love,

"Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints". Ps. 116:15 Al's homegoing is precious to the LORD! While we grieve the parting, for now, we rejoice in the hope of sharing eternity with him in Jesus Christ, our Lord! We are grateful to our heavenly Father for His love to Al; for Al's faith in the redeeming love of Christ; and for the overflow of that love to our family through his love for our dear Aunt Peggy. His life truly was a journey of LOVE!

Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.

We will miss Al's goodness and humor, but know he is in a wonderful place. We are sending our prayers to Al and Peggy, as well as all of his loved ones.
