Obit for: Mrs. Agnes Harris Kilpatrick Funeral Home Ruston, LA Mrs. Agnes Harris Graveside services for Mrs. Agnes Harris, 85, of Longview, TX formerly of Monroe, LA will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, August 30, 2010 in the Bernice Cemetery, in Bernice, LA. Rev. John Wallingford and Rev. Stephen R. Ramsey will officiate the service under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Mrs. Harris was born in Converse, LA on April 10, 1925 and died on August 27, 2010 in Dallas, TX. She received her master≠s degree from Louisiana State University. Mrs. Harris was a Director of several Louisiana Libraries throughout her thirty three years career as a librarian. Mrs. Harris contributed to the Louisiana Baptist Children≠s Home and participated in planting churches in Korea. While living in Longview, TX she taught Sunday school at Macedonia Baptist Church. Mrs. Harris was a founding member of Jlyasdi≠s Journey, a Christian based preemie ministry. Agnes welcomed many young adults to stay in her home while completing their education as well as some changing their lives to live for the Lord. She is preceded in death by her brother, Elvis ¨Slim Allbritton and sisters, Joyce Costello, and Jean Smith Beck. She is survived by her son, Randy Harris and wife Jean of Tulsa, OK; daughter, Kaye Harris Losch and husband, the late Steven Losch of Longview, TX; grandchildren, Randall Scott Harris and wife Sonia; Alisa Kaye Terry and husband James; Jodi Childress; Jenni Knutson and husband Matt; Jeff Wright and wife Bethany; eight great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; sister, Betty Costa of Florida; brother, Willard ¨Chick Allbritton of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.
