Funeral Services for A. H. Richardson, Jr., age 96, of Chatham, LA, will be 11:00 A.M., Thursday, July 20, 2023, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel of Ruston, LA. Officiating will be Bro. Russell Rhodes, Richard Richardson, Jr., and Richard Richardson, Sr., under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Interment to follow in Concord Cemetery, Chatham, LA. Visitation for Mr. Richardson will be Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel of Ruston, from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M.
A. H. Richardson was born on February 13, 1927, to Almer H. and Berter Richardson in Jackson Parish, and passed from this life on July 16, 2023. He served his country in the United States Air Force. A. H. and R. D. Richardson built, owned, and operated D & J Construction Company, LLC of West Monroe, and passed it down to family. He was a kind, generous, caring man, and member of The Concord Community Church, of Chatham, LA. He is preceded in death by his parents, A. H. Richardson, Sr. & Berter (Owens) Richardson; his brother, R. D. Richardson; and sister-in-law, Audrey Richardson.
He is survived by his wife Polly Richardson; daughters, Danna Rundell of Chatham, LA, Lana Cartwright of Chatham, LA, Lori Johnson of Chatham, LA; grandchildren, Jennifer Forstall, Brandy Tripp, Delanda Mobley, Cody Mobley, Dusty Mobley, Noah McDuff, Chelsea Randall, and Joshua Johnson; great-grandchildren, Madison Coleman, Ethan Coleman, Landon Coleman, Rayleigh Mobley, Peyton Mobley, Emma Johnson, Griffin Randall, Nora Randall, Richie Faust, Annalise Forstall, Juliette Forstall; one great-great-grandchild, Oliver Parks; nieces and nephews, Richard Richardson of West Monroe, LA, Judy Richardson of West Monroe, LA, Suzanne Richardson of West Monroe, LA, Richard Richardson, Jr. of West Monroe, LA, Beryl Richardson of West Monroe, LA, Dwayne Richardson of West Monroe, LA.; many, many cousins, extended family, and a special friend, Rhonda Walker.
Pallbearers will be Dwayne Richardson, Cody Mobley, Benny Tripp, Dusty Mobley, Noah McDuff, Landon Lutrick, Joshua Johnson, and Ethan Coleman. Honorary Pallbearers are Ricky Naron, Keith Walker, Kevin McManus, and Bruce Johnson.
