WILMA STUTSON HEAD Services for Wilma Stutson Head, 88, of West Monroe will be held on Wednesday, January 17, at 10:00 A.M. in the First United Methodist Church of West Monroe with the Rev. Wanda Cosentino officiating and the Rev. Ricky Willis assisting. . Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 16, from 5:00 to 8:00 P M. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe. Mrs. Head was born on September 13, 1918, in Harrisonburg, Louisiana, and died on Sunday, January 14, 2007, in West Monroe. The youngest and last-surviving child of the late Zebulon York Stutson and Lottie Johnson Stutson of Harrisonburg, she was a graduate of Harrisonburg High School and attended business school at the Bish Mathis Institute in Monroe. While her husband served in World War II, she lived in Harrisonburg and worked for the Selective Service System. On October 11, 2003, she was honored by the Harrisonburg United Methodist Church at its 150th anniversary celebration as the oldest living baptized member of the congregation. After the war, the Heads moved to West Monroe, where Mrs. Head worked as a bookkeeper before becoming a fulltime wife and mother. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church in West Monroe for many years until ill health prevented her from attending. She was active in the church≠s Fellowship Sunday School Class and Mabel Johnson Circle. She was also a member of the Glenwood Hospital Auxiliary and several local book and garden clubs. Mrs. Head, a talented home cook and baker, was pleased to have one of her recipes included in Family Circle magazine in 2003. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Tommy G. Head, of West Monroe; sons Thomas Head, Jr., of Washington, D.C., and Kenneth Y. Head and wife Peggy of Calhoun; daughter, Julia Head of Plant City, Florida; grandsons, Ken Head and wife Jennie and Toby Head and wife Kristen of Calhoun; and great-grandchildren, Kendall Head, Jackson Head, and Abigail Head of Calhoun. Pallbearers will be nephews Charles Enright, Leslie Enright, Richard Enright, Henry G≠Sell, Oscar Head, Terry Head, Jerry Sanders, and T. A. Sanders, Jr. The family wishes to express its appreciation to Mae Myles, Bernestine Thomas, and the staff of Medical Temps, Inc. Memorial gifts may be made to the First United Methodist Church in West Monroe or the Louisiana Methodist Children≠s Home in Ruston.
