Funeral services for Willie Mae Jernigan Bartmess, 82 of Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Christian Life Church. Rev. Danny Chance and Rev. Joey Williams will officiate. Interment will follow at Kilpatrick‚ Serenity Gardens West Monroe, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.Mrs. Bartmess was born March 9, 1931in Monroe, LA and passed away February 9, 2014 in Monroe. She was a member of Christian Life Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher for over 30 years and touched many children‚ lives. Mrs. Bartmess was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Bartmess Sr., mother Clara Francis Rachell and father, William Robert Jernigan; sisters, Sybiline Bolton and Frances Jungina; grandsons, Robert Glen Bartmess and Joseph Greenhagen; son-in-law, Kenneth Wayne Davidson.Mrs. Bartmess is survived by her sister, Ruby Jean Brinson; children, Jeannie Davidson, Carla Otto and husband John, Biggs Bartmess and wife Becky, Clara Williams and husband Joey, Juana Brunson and husband Gerald, Charlotte Simmons and husband Bennett and Willie Bartmess; grandson, Randy Ray Greenhagen and wife Wendy; 64 grandchildren and 50 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
