Graveside services for William “Mack” Redmond will be held at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, near Chatham, Louisiana under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home ~ West Monroe. Rev. Gordon Ray Winslow will officiate.
Mack was born April 4, 1942 in Monroe, Louisiana and passed away on November 21, 2020 in Rocky Branch, Louisiana. In Mack’s journey to retirement, he worked at various hospitals while attending school to become a nurse anesthetist. He graduated in 1977, going to work full time. Eventually Mack retired from E. A. Conway in the mid 2000’s. After retirement, he became a driver at Limousines Unlimited, which brought him great joy working with various funeral homes along with their staffs and helping grieving families. Mack was also an avid “Ham Radio” operator, his call sign was KA5JNL. He is preceded in death by his son, James Lanny Redmond; parents, James and Ethel Redmond; brother, Donald Redmond.
Mack is survived by his wife of 60 years, Linda Hearne Redmond; two sons, Stacy Redmond and Tim Redmond; sister, Glenda Jacobs; brother, James Redmond; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many other cherished family and friends.

Uncle Mack had a personality that would light up a room and he had a heart of gold. When my dad had heart surgery a few years ago Uncle Mack slept at the hospital so he could be beside his big brother. He's going to a better place but will be greatly missed by all of his friends and family.

Karaoke at your house when you made all of us sing Patsy Cline together with Linda.
Ham radio bs late at night, when you told me if I was going to keep talking with Terry on the radio I had to get my own call sign. Lol
Let’s not forget how dinner at our house went when our killer cat decided to have you for dessert. I’ve never heard Linda scream so loud.
Watching Amanda and Crystal grow up and then their children.
And how fitting for us that you were there to drive Terry to his final resting.
You will never be forgotten. You are so loved by so many.
