William J. Parr, 69, of West Monroe, Louisiana, passed away on May 18, 2024. He was born September 12, 1954 in Memphis, Tennessee.
Bill loved the Lord and his family. He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. He loved every kid unconditionally that he came in contact with and they loved him back equally. Bill was a retired family farmer who loved the smell of diesel in the morning as he fired up his tractor to make another round. He would always say “There’s nothing like the smell and the site of fresh broken ground”.
Bill loved farming with a passion and the satisfaction it brought to him. Something as simple as planting a seed, producing a plant, nursing and grooming it went into his everyday life on the farm as well as his family. He had many friends and family in his lifetime who cherished him dearly. Those who have ever come in contact with him will tell you he left an everlasting impression. Bill’s kind heart and unselfish demeanor will stand the test of time.
Bill is survived by his wife Diann Parr; daughter, Ashley Hendrix and her husband Jason; son, Brian Parr and his wife Joan; and 11 grandchildren.
