Memorial services for William J. Brown, Sr. will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 15, 2022 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe with Rev. J.E. Brown officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until service time.

Bill was born April 12, 1944  and passed away February 5, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents Julian and Vaudine Brown; sister Gayle Walpole. Bill served his country in the Army National Guard until his time of duty was completed.  For many years Bill was the owner and operator of Carland Auto Sales in Monroe. He also held interests in many facets of business including Tunica Village Mobile Home Park in West Monroe and other personal investments. Those who knew him understood his giving nature, especially to those in need! The saying “He had a heart of gold” fit him completely. He had a love for his family and although he may have seemed a little insensitive, however underneath the facade, you would find a very sensitive man. What a unique guy, one that will be in the hearts of those who loved him for many years to come.

Bill is survived by his wife Jeanie Lynn Brown; sons William J. Brown, Jr.; Brandon S. Rollins, Todd Jackson and wife Sherry and Wayne Jackson ; daughter Tammy McDuffie and husband Bubba; grandchildren Christina Bagby  and husband Ollie, Kaitlynn Johnston and husband Zack, Brittany Davis and husband T.J., Lyric Rollins, Atlas Rollins; great-grandchildren Olivia, Rylan, Hughie, Gigi, Jackson Beau, John Robert, and Gavin; brother J.E. Brown and wife Charlotte; multiple nieces and nephews.
