William Floyd Pearson, (Billy Floyd), 89, went to be with the Lord while being comforted by his precious wife, Judy, on Oct. 29, 2022 in Farmerville, Louisiana. He was born on April 18, 1933 in Union Parish to his parents W. S. (Stiffie) and Thelma Burns Pearson.
Billy Floyd was the owner of Billy F. Pearson Plumbing for 60 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his wife and family. PaPaw was loved by many and could make you laugh out loud with all his jokes and comparisons. He had us all laughing right up to his last days.
Billy Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Boyce Pearson; and his daughter, Toni Pearson Grier.
Billy Floyd is survived by his wife of 33 years, Judy Sanders Pearson; his daughters, Terri Pearson Gregory and husband Rice, Tammi Pearson Anderson and husband, Johnny, Carla Crain Haney and husband Graham; son, Todd Crain; and son-in-law, Bobby Grier; nephews, Matt Nolan and Johnny Pearson; nieces, Angie Nomey and Vevia Sturm; grandchildren, Kylie Jones (Ben), Anna Hayes (Wade), William Gregory (Lexi), Kassidy Bennett (James), Kelci Rodgers (Trey), John Richard Anderson (Ree), Jed Anderson, Matilyn Haney and Mallory Haney; 13 great grandchildren and many other cherished family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Ben Jones, William Gregory, James Bennett, Trey Rodgers, John Richard Anderson, Jed Anderson and Wade Hayes.
The family would like to extend heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Union General Hospital for their compassionate care.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.; Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Kilpatrick’s Funeral Home, 202 N. Washington, Farmerville, Louisiana. A Celebration of Life for Billy Floyd will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at Mount Tabor Baptist Church, 132 Mt. Tabor Baptist Church Road, Bernice, La. 71222. Interment will follow at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Mt. Tabor Baptist Church at the above address or to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105
