Kilpatrick Funeral Home Farmerville, LA. William F. “Billy” Cole William “Billy” Cole of Farmerville, LA., passed away Monday, August 29, 2011 at the age of 88. Mr. Cole was born on December 1, 1922 in Farmerville, LA, to the late Frank Cole and Ethel Ward Cole. He enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served his country during World War II as a mechanic on the B52 Bombers until he retired as a Chief Master Sergeant after 30 years of service in August 1972. Mr. Cole was an avid gardener and coin collector and loved sharing his produce and knowledge of electronics with his neighbors. He was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Farmerville. Mr. Cole is preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Iris Cole whom he met and married while stationed in England. He is survived by three daughters, Dona Jean Solomon Joe of Hearne, TX; Mayann Bonvillian James of Farmerville, LA; Joanie Scifres Rick of Rosewell, NM; sister, Mary Andrews of England; four grandchildren, Kristina Matthews, Krystal, and Kayla Bonvillian, and Michele Hall; three great-grandchildren, Tristin, Taylon, and Damyn Bonvillian.
