Funeral services for William (Billy) King 65, of Downsville, LA., will be held on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Holmesville Baptist Church in Downsville, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Jerry Whitman. Interment will follow at the Holmesville Baptist Church Cemetery in Downsville, LA.He was born on January 1, 1952 and passed away on June 20, 2017. He was preceeded in death by his son, Andrew Edward King.Survivors include his wife, Lou Pardue King of Downsville, LA.; daughters, Angie King Borden and husband, Clay, of Ruston, LA, Amanda King McDaniel and husband, Josh, of Choudrant, LA.; granddaughter, Grace Borden of Ruston, LA.; grandsons, Chase Borden and wife, Taylor, of Tyler, TX, Noah Borden, of Ruston, LA. and Davis McDaniel, of Choudrant, LA.; parents, Bobbie and Bo Cox of Downsville, LA.; sister, Donna Lewis and husband, Scott, of Downsville, LA.; brothers Bobby King and wife, Carol of Downsville, LA., John Cox and wife, Rhonda of Downsville, LA., numerous nieces and nephews, and countless friends.Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Holmesville Baptist Church in Downsville, LA. Pallbearers will be Troy Pardue, Shannon Pardue, Jonathan King, Matt Whitman, Lamar Hancock, and Tim Otwell. Honorary Pallbearers will be Vernard Snearly and Curtis Pope.Special thanks to Dr. Weinberger and his staff at The Oncology Clinic, as well as First Choice Hospice for their loving care, kindness, and compassion through this journey.
