WilliamBill McBride, Farmerville, La. Bill was born on May 29, 1946 in El Dorado, AR, and passed away on December 9, 2017 in Farmerville, LA. In 1956 he graduated from Horton Watkins High School, in Ladue, MO, then after high School he attended Centenary College in Shreveport, LA., and graduated with a BSBA and attended on Basketball scholarship. He started working for Industrial Gas Business in October 1970 in the manufacturing, sales and services of Oxygen, Nitrogen, Argon, Carbon Dioxide, Helium, Hydrogen and Packaged Gasses plus On-Site Plants and pipelines from Plants. He travelled extensively, domestically, Canada, Europe, and the Middle East. His words were that the US is the best country in the world and always glad to put his feet back on US soil. Throughout his career he lived in St, Louis, MO, Leneza, KS, Springfield, MO, Warren, Ohio, New Orleans, LA, Spring TX, On Lake Conroe, TX, Rochester, NY, Downers Grove, IL, Birmingham, AL and Guntersville, AL. He also served his country in the US Army Reserve. He was an avid fisherman, of bass and white perch and crappie. In his golfing days; he was ranked 35th in the US Senior Amateur Society of Seniors with many years of enjoyment in both sports receiving numerous awards and trophies. After retirement he moved to Farmerville, LA from Guntersville, AL. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl McBride.Survivors include his mother Verna A.
