William Addison “Snookie” Patton of Choudrant, LA was born on October 18, 1948, and passed from this life on June 5, 2025. A Visitation for family and friends will be 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM, Sunday, June 8, 2025, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel, Ruston, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes in Ruston, LA.
William is preceded in death by his wife Judy Patton; his parents, Warner Leon Patton Sr. and Minnie B. Welch Patton; sister, Linda Hoffpauir; and brothers, Warner Leon “Sonny” Patton, Jr., and Gwen Buddy Patton.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Annie Mae McGrew Patton; son, Christopher Patton (Felicia); daughter, Cynthia Patton; granddaughter, Addison Patton; grandsons, Justin Zachry (Taylor), Lukas Patton (Haley), and Blake Patton(Emily), and great-grandsons, Kaiden Zachry and Kannon Zachry; significant other, Debra Goforth-Hollinger; brothers, Billy Patton (Mitzie), Ronnie Patton (Becky), and Jerry Patton; sister, Jeanette Patton Nale; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and a host of friends.
Snookie was a mechanic by trade. He retired from Arkla Gas after 25 years and started his own company, Patton’s Service Company until he retired in 2023. Snookie was initiated by the Choudrant Mason Lodge Number 339 on June 8, 1987, and was a very proud member of the Barak Shrine Camel Riders in Monroe, LA.
If you knew him, you knew his drink of choice was Crown Royal Whiskey. He loved hosting cookouts, where he shared meals with his family and close friends. Snookie cherished time with his entire family, but he especially loved his grandchildren, who he was immensely proud of and always supported.
A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital and St Jude Children’s Hospital in his honor.
