Mrs. Virginia, Tommy, I am so sorry about Mr. Wayne. I know it seems unbearable but know God has a plan from the day we are born we have a day to join him. Not many people get 53 years God must have loved you both a lot to give you that much time together. He will give you the strength to get through this. So sorry to hear this sad news. As a sometimes kid in Downsville, I had great fun with the McFarlands and enjoyed it all. Marvin and Wayne kept us younger ones in line when Frank, Wiley and I strayed too far. What wonderful memories of that time and place; the McFarlands helped make it so. Steve Sanders

I am so sorry for your loss. Please accept my sincere condolences. I would like to share something that has given me comfort when I have lost loved ones. It is found in the Bible at John 5:28,29 and Revelation 21:4. These verses tell us that soon God is going to bring about a resurrection of our loved ones as well as do away with all causes we have for suffering, including sickness and death. Knowing this has always comforted me and it is my hope that these thoughts will comfort your family also.

Wayne and I went to Downsville High for Grades one through twelve and graduated in May of 1958. He was a joy to know. We had a lot of conversations because he always sat right behind me because the teachers always put us in alphabetical order. I am very sad to hear about his passing. I have lived in Lake Charles, LA since I graduated from Northeast in 1961 therefore I don't hear much from Downsville. Your family is in my prayers.
