Funeral services for Wayne J. Farley of Sharon, LA will be held Monday, October 14, 2024, 2:00 PM at Sharon Baptist Church in Dubach. Interment will follow at Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes of Ruston. Officiating the service will be Rev. Jeff Roberts, and Brother Carroll Holmes will be reciting the eulogy. Visitation will be held at the church prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 PM.
Wayne was born and raised in Lisbon, Louisiana where he met his loving wife, Retha. They got married in Pisgah Baptist Church on June 27, 1969. He was a member and Deacon at Sharon Baptist Church, and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather that would’ve helped anyone at any time. He graduated from Lisbon High School in 1968; and upon graduation he attended Louisiana Tech University and obtained a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering. He was retired VP of Operations with Sid Richardson, Energy Services. Wayne was a strong believer In God, and in his free time took up golfing.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Elvin and Edna Wilson Farley; his son, Todd Wayne Farley; sister Deborah Henkie; and brother Lonnie Farley.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Retha Ann Farley; children, Chad Farley of Duncan, OK; Jason Daniel Farley and wife Elisha of Conroe, TX; siblings, Patsy Davis of Shreveport, LA; Darleen Madole of Spring, TX; and Donald Farley of Summerfield, LA; grandchildren, Naomi Marie Gatlin of Bowie, TX; Miaela Sierra Collins of Duncan, OK; Summer LeeAnn Farley of Duncan, OK; Elyssa Jade Farley of Conroe, TX; Jordyn Elexus Farley of Conroe, TX; Carahlee Fay Farley of Duncan, OK; great-grandchildren, Ever Marie Bowman of Bowie, TX; Scarlett Lane of Bowie, TX; Remington Harvey DeArmond of Duncan, OK; Wrenlee Vada-Ann DeArmond of Duncan, OK; Oliver Jack Longacre of Duncan, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews, and family.
Pallbearers are Chad Farley, Jason Farley, Shane Farley, Alex Farley, John Millsap, and Garrett DeArmond.
