Funeral services for Wanda Springfield Thames will be 11:00AM, Friday, December 15, 2017in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe. Brother Terry Mims will officiate. Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery.Wanda loved her family, especially her 2 grand-kids. She loved the good Lord and her, Emanuel Baptist Church Family.Wanda is preceded in death by the love of her life husband, Jesse Alvin Thames, of 49 years, Parents, Frank and Neza Springfield; Sister, Nelda Hammons and brother, Kenneth Springfield.Wanda is survived by daughter, Pamela Kemp and husband Warren Fuzzy Kemp; Grandsons, Joseph Kemp and wife Haley and Charles Kemp and brother, Elwyn Springfield.; several nieces and nephews.Special thanks and love to Mary Joe Traylor and Connie Wallace who took excellent care of mom for 5 years.Visitation will be Friday, December 15, 2017 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA starting at 9:30 AM until Service starting at 11:00 AM . Online condolences may be made to the family atwww.kilpatrickfuneralhome.comKilpatrick Funeral HomeWest Monroe, LA

Pam, I am saddened to learn of your mother's passage. During my college years at Emmanuel, your folks were among the top of the church's workers. They earned our love and respect over those years and will always maintain a cherished part of our memories. Wrapping you up in prayers as you face this season of transition. Although I do understand your mother's situation has been different for quite some time now, it is still difficult to face a life without our parents.
