Graveside services will be held for Walter Fred Thompson 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at Mulhearn Memorial Park under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.Fred was born November 22, 1933 in Newellton, LA and passed away November 9, 2019.He was preceded in death by his parents, Noel and Ruby Lee Purvis Thompson; wife of 58 years, Martha Reecy Thompson; brothers, Buddy Thompson, James Thompson and Kent Thompson.Fred is survived by 2 daughters, Tyra Knight and husband Brice, Cherie Rapier and husband Edward; 2 sons, Walt Thompson and wife Brenda and Kelvin Thompson and wife Patricia; six grandsons, Michael Moore and wife Marissa, Adam Rapier, Phillip Thompson and wife Michelle, Keith Thompson and wife Emily, Trent Munoz and Trevor Munoz; one great-granddaughter, Elliana Rose Moore and 5 great-grandsons; sister, Janie James and husband Roy; five brothers, Leo Thompson, Robert Earl Thompson, Russell Thompson and wife Helen, Jackie Thompson and wife Bonnie and Roy Lee Thompson; sister-in-law, Emma Barry; numerous nieces and nephews.Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.kilpatrickfuneralhomes.com
