Funeral services for Walter Creed of West Monroe will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 28, 2022 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe with Rev. Michael Dunn officiating. Interment will follow at St. Paschal’s Cemetery West Monroe. Visitation will be held Friday from 1:00 P.M. until service time at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

Walter was born August 30, 1931 in Vienna, LA and passed away January 24, 2022 in West Monroe. He was preceded in death by his wife Francis Wellerman Creed; grandson Derrick Vickers; parents Henry and Ora Creed, and Emmie Creed; siblings Farris Alford, Henry E. Creed, Jr., and Marvin Creed.

Walter is survived by his nieces Kay Hendry, Tina and husband Michael Dunn, Renee Alford Brooks; nephews Mike and wife Rosanne Alford, Dennis Alford and wife Cindy; sister-in-law Linda Creed; daughters Lisa Lassiter and Tanya Street; granddaughters Amber Vickers Zuniga and husband Dan Zuniga, Kristi and husband Brad Tyler, Ginger and husband Charles Hemphill; grandson Chad Vickers and wife Alexandra; numerous great-grandchildren; special friends Doc and wife Sally Hearn, Bill and wife Kaye Thurston, Fred and wife Beverly Bennett, Lynn and husband Randy Roye, and Patrick Morgan.

The family would also like to acknowledge Loraine Banks who was a wonderful friend and caretaker to both Walter and his wife for years.

Serving as pallbearers will be Doc Hearn, Johnny Creed, Fred Bennett, Bill Thurston, Larry Creed and Ronnie Thompson.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Creed, Jerry Phillips, Carl Elmore, Greg Vickers, Brandon Rivera , Jason Hendry and Patrick Morgan.

Family expressed thanks to Lavenia Arrant and the Sparks, Lee Edwards and Extreme Motors drivers.
