Funeral services for Wallace Earl Feeman, 70, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Cedar Crest Baptist Church, West Monroe with Dr. Greg Clark officiating. Interment will be in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Calhoun, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA. Mr. Freeman was born February 24, 1941 in Monroe, LA to Clifford J. “Peck” Freeman and Nellie Beatrice Linder Freeman. He passed away Saturday November 5, 2011 at his home in West Monroe after a lengthy illness. Wallace was born into a farming family where he excelled in 4-H and FFA, particularly where machinery was concerned. Much of his living was made as a welder and machinist. He loved rebuilding heavy equipment. His greatest loves were his family, friends, and his music. He would play music at the nursing home, at church or anywhere music loving people gathered and he always had a song for the children. His sense of humor drew people to him and took some by surprise. Because he was a man who could make things that seemed impossible happen anyway, he will be so missed and forever loved by so many. He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 406 and the Masonic Lodge 419. Mr. Freeman is preceded in death by his mother and father, mother-in-law, Jesse Myree Hicks and a grandson, Thomas Michael Freeman.
