Virginia Kay Smith Williamson, 75, of Junction City, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, August 11th in El Dorado, Arkansas. Virginia was born January 29, 1949, in Ruston, Louisiana, to Thelma Breed Smith and Rufus P. Smith. She was married to James Larry Williamson for 55 years and had 3 children: Richard, Lara, and Jonathan. Virginia was an artist by nature, and she had many art related careers, such as florist, art teacher, and artist. When she retired from teaching art in the public schools, Virginia continued to produce her own art, and teach private lessons. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Thelma Smith.
Virginia is survived by her husband, James Larry; children – Richard, Lara Robbins (Michael), and Jonathan; grandchildren – Hunter Lewis (Shelby), William Robbins, and Sara Robbins; and 2 great-grandchildren; sister-Carolyn Albritton; brothers-Mike (Lynda) and David Smith; and numerous nieces, and cousins.
Visitation with Virginia’s family will be at First Baptist Church, Junction City, Arkansas, Saturday, August 17th at 1:00 pm. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm.
