I want to express my sorrow about Victor's passing. I was Victor's Sixth grade teacher many years ago. He was in my very first class and made a lasting impression. Such a "good kid".. polite, respectful, hard worker. I saw him about a month ago and he seemed very happy. He was so proud of his son. We laughed about the fact that he and I have sons the same age even though I was his teacher. Our boys enjoyed playing together at Burger King and we enjoyed catching up. It was a pleasure teaching Victor at Louisiana Technical College. He was a perfect student. When it came time to complete his Computer 1000 course, he could have skipped a couple of assessments and landed a B so he would be finished and not have to come back the next day. But he wouldn't have it! He returned to finish and get the A. He was very diligent, and although we only walked in this world together a short while, I will remember him always.
