FARMERVILLE, LA. Vicki Jean Rogers Lofstrom, age 66, passed away Monday, April 19, at Willis Knighton Medical Center in Shreveport following a lengthy illness. Ms Lofstrom was born February 8, 1955 in Springhill, Louisiana to Dorman and Bonnie (Gunnels) Rogers of Ruston, Louisiana. She was a 1973 graduate of Springhill High School and received an associate degree from Louisiana Technical College. She was employed by Louisiana Delta Community College as a Phocas Coordinator nursing student advisor.
A visitation of family and friends will be held Saturday, April 24 at 10 a.m. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home at 202 N. Washington St in Farmerville, Louisiana, followed by a celebration of life memorial service at 11 a.m. with Aleck Nyegaard officiating.
In addition to her parents, Vicki is survived by a son, Skyler Lofstrom of Farmerville, a stepson Brandon Lofstrom (Ashley) of Brady, Texas, sisters Sherry Rogers Hill (Steve) of Blanchard, Louisiana and Debra Rogers Merritt of Bossier City, nieces Katie Merritt Paulovich (Drew) and Jessie Merritt Williams (Brad), both of Shreveport.
We are deeply thankful for the support and care shown by her colleagues at Delta Community College, and especially the incredible care and love provided by her Willis Knighton transplant clinic doctors and staff, as well as the WK North Third Floor and the Willis Knighton PT Rehabilitation Institute. We also thank her wonderful friends and extended family in Farmerville for all your love and support during her illness, you have been amazing for both her and Skyler and we appreciate all that you have done.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be directed to Louisiana Organ Procurement Association (LOPA) at 820 Jordan St. #385, Shreveport Louisiana 71101 or that blood be donated at your location agency in the name of Vicki Lofstrom.
