Funeral services for Vannah “Van” Paul Lisenby, 83, of West Monroe will be held, Friday, March 16, 2018 at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Pastor Michael ONeal will officiate. Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Visitation will be held Friday, March 16, 2018 from 12:00 PM until service time.Van was born September 20, 1934 in Clarks, LA and passed away March 13, 2018 in West Monroe. He served as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force for 8 1/2 years. Van worked over 40 years at Monroe Communications where he was Electronic Tech and became manager. He loved running catfish lines on the Mississippi River with friend, Bob Duty and was a licensed Gun Smith. Van was a wonderful husband, father and granddaddy. He loved working in this shop with woodwork, electronics, reloading bullets, re-keyed door knobs and dead bolts. This man could do everything. Van was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He would do anything for anybody and was kind to everyone.Van was preceded in death by his parents, Quincy Paul Lisenby and Mildred Streetman; brothers, George E. Lisenby and Johnny Burl Lisenby; sister, Nelda J. Walker; sister-in-law, Rhonda Lisenby. Van is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sue Martin Lisenby; daughter, Patricia Trish Lisenby Wycoff; grandchildren, Daniel Aaron Wycoff, Anna Claire Wycoff and Savannah Rose Wycoff; brothers, Charles Lisenby, and Joe Lisenby and wife Marianne.Pallbearers will be Mike Lowe, Bobby Dillingham, Gary McClain, Doug Denmon, John Smith and David Ramsey.
