Funeral services for Vallie Kirkland, 82, of Calhoun, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, June 9, 2025 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe.  Jeremy Antley will be officiating.  Interment will follow at McCormick Cemetery in the Drew Community, under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes, West Monroe.  Visitation will be held at 1:00 P.M. until the time of service.

Vallie was born on March 30, 1943 in Center, Texas and passed away on June 5, 2025 in Monroe.  She loved playing games on her computer and fishing. Vallie worked as a chef on oil rigs for many years.  She was a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.  Vallie was preceded in death by her siblings, Willis B. Kirkland, A.J. Kirkland, Linda Miller and Allie Bixler.

Vallie is survived by her sisters, Bobbie Kirkland Antley, Dina Kirkland Antley; brother, Truman Kirkland and wife Nancy; sister-in-law, Edwina Kirkland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
