Funeral services for Tony Futrell, 63, of Calhoun, LA will be 2:00 pm Saturday, February 2, 2013, in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe with Bro. Dewayne Monk officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Choudrant, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home. Mr. Futrell was born July 21, 1949, in Monroe and passed away January 30, 2013, in West Monroe. He was an avid hunter; fisherman; and owned and operated Canine Treasures Pet Store where he shared his love of animals with his customers. He was a graduate of Louisiana Tech University. He was preceded in death by his father, Milton Futrell. Mr. Futrell is survived by his wife, Sherree Butler Futrell; mother, Blanche Futrell; sister, Gayle Smith and husband, Randy; son, Tom Futrell and wife, Leslea; son, Dan Futrell; stepdaughter, Kellie Vincent and husband, Roger; grandsons, Hudson Futrell, Hunter, Tyler, and Keller Vincent; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Pallbearers will be Don Wheelis, David Duke, Don Caldwell, Roger Vincent, James Futrell and Jeffrey Smith. The family would like to send a special thank you to Connie Culpepper, Betty Kennedy and all of the special aides at Stoneybrook Assisted Living for their wonderful care during the past 3 years. Also, a special thanks to Dr. Frank Weinholt and Homecare Sources and his nurses of La. Hospice.
