Funeral services for Tommy Thomas will be held Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at New Life Apostolic, Hwy 34 West Monroe with Rev. Thomas McMurray officiating. Interment will follow at Kilpatrick’s Serenity Gardens, West Monroe. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until service time at the church under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
Tommy was former owner of T&S Wrecker Service, drove for Plunk’s Wrecker Service and he drove for Mayo Tours. He was a former member of Anchor Tabernacle and was presently a member of New Life Apostolic Church, West Monroe. Tommy was a member of Chellette Hunting Club, Norphlet, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cathel and Virginia Thomas; foster parents, Jim and Gladys Owens and a brother Terry Thomas. Tommy loved his grandchildren dearly and would help anyone who needed him. Tommy served in the United States Army as a helicopter crew chief. He was awarded National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal W/4 Bronze Stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal W/1960 Device, 2 Overseas Bars, and Sharpshooter (M-14, M-16.)
Tommy is survived by his wife Sandy Thomas; children Timothy Thomas and wife Jennifer, Natasha Buie and husband Robert, Christina Thomas and husband Richard Duff ; step-children Joshua Bumgarden and wife Carrie, Nancy Terry and Zachary Clement; sister Cathy Bayles (James Cannon, Sr.); brother Ed “Butch” Thomas; extended family and many friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Buie, Richard Duff, Quinton Thomas, Dewayne Bracey, Ethan Guillory and Russell Guidry.
Serving as honorary pallbearers Hunter Thomas and Zayne Duff.
