Funeral services for Tom Reece Hutson, Sr. will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe with Bro. Waymond Warren officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Monday, January 6, 2020 at the funeral home.Tom was born in Lake Providence, LA on October 21, 1934 and passed away in Monroe, LA on January 4, 2020. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Hutson; mother, Audell McWilliams Hutson Pinkston; and sister, Earlene Martin.Tom is survived by his wife of 59 years, Nelda Horn Hutson; daughter, Denise Hutson Stinson and husband Skip; son, Tom Reece Hutson, Jr. and wife Cydni; son, Phillip Earl Hutson and wife Lisa; daughter, Lynelle Renee Hutson Moses; grandchildren, Paige Smith and husband Jason, Olivia Garner and husband Zach, Mattie Lou Stinson, Reece Hutson and wife Bridget, Cyd Eaton and husband Brian, Jamie Hutson, Mamie Moses, and John David Moses; great-grandchildren, Dawson Sills, Parkes Smith, and Hutson Claire Smith.Tom was a graduate of Northeast Louisiana University receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology. He was a veteran of the United States Army Reserves. Tom was Director of the St. Francis Medical Center Laboratory and actively represented St. Francis throughout the community. He served with the United Way, the Allied Health Advisory Committee, and participated in hundreds of health screenings and other projects in the area. When not working, Tom dedicated his time to family, church and the outdoors.
