Funeral services for Toby Medlin will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Marion with Bro. Bubba Hoggatt and Bro. John Saunders officiating. Interment will follow at Marion Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Monday, December 20, 2021 at the church.
Toby was born February 6, 1936 in Monroe, LA and passed away on December 17, 2021 in Marion, LA. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Nell Seymore Medlin; parents, Dr. Milas and Maude Medlin; and siblings, Iva, Jack, Milas, Bill, Elton, Maudine, and Joy.
Toby is survived by his children Belinda Medlin Miller and husband Mark; and Randy Medlin; grandchildren, Kayla Booker and husband Rob, Courtney Medlin, and Ian Medlin; great-grandchildren, Camryn Huval, Carley Huval, Chandler Huval, Mitchell Lee Bayonne, Maliya Bayonne; and Dayden Hingle; sister, Jean Chrisman and husband Chris; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Toby was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a retired Postmaster from the US Postal Service in Marion, LA as well as Huttig Motor Supply. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Marion where he served as Sunday School Treasurer and Videographer.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Osgood, Clarence William, Walter Medlin, Wade Medlin, Mark Andrews, and Allen Booker. Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Medlin, Huey Dale Russell and David Johnstone.
The family would like to thank the staff members of Compassus Hospice and Toby’s niece Sheila Medlin for her love and care.
