Funeral services for Thomas William “Tommy” Craig, age 66, of Simsboro will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, August 19, 2013 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel in Ruston with Rev. Dale Oden officiating the service. Interment will follow in West Lake Baptist Church Cemetery in Doyline, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Tommy was born in Shreveport, LA on December 11, 1946 and died August 16, 2013 in Arcadia, LA. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church and was a business owner for 25 years. At the time of his death, he was employed by Louisiana Tech University as a university police officer for 23 years. He loved to cook for family and friends and he and his wife, Donna, loved to travel. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. His kind and loving spirit will never be forgotten. Tommy is preceded in death by his parents, William and Ann Craig; and his brother Larry Craig. He is survived by his wife, Donna Craig of Simsboro; son, Jason Craig and wife Kim of Simsboro; daughter, Jennifer Lewis and husband Kevin of Doyline; step-daughter, Melea Sandifer and husband Gary of Frierson, LA; adopted sons, Trey Craig and wife Melani of Ruston; Wesley Craig and wife Megan of Ruston; 10 grandchildren; and nephew, Jay Craig and wife Cori of Shreveport, LA. Pallbearers will be Bill Davis, Randal Hermes, Jamie Knight, Scott Salsbury, Harry Shrell, and Patrick Simmons. Honorary pallbearers will be Mickey Anglin, Mona Cannon, Allen Carnahan, Morgan Frith, Randy Gay, Tommy Hay, Tim Holstead, Timmy McQuillin, Debra Moore, Jacob Stewart, and John Sylvest. The family would like to thank Willow Ridge Nursing Home and staff for all their caregiving and love for Tommy during his illness.
