Thomas R. Odom Kilpatrick Funeral Home Farmerville, LA Funeral services for Thomas R. Odom 80, of Farmerville, LA., will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, April 8, 2013 in the Chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville, LA. Officiating will be Reverend Richard Shreve and Bobby Franklin assisting. Interment will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Ruston, LA under direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville. Mr. Odom was born on December 21, 1932 and passed away on April 4, 2013 in Shreveport, LA. He was a retired grocer and former owner of Handy Foods convenient stores. Mr. Odom was a member and deacon of Sardis Baptist Church in Farmerville. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Pruett Odom, four sisters, and three brothers. He is survived his sons, Tom Odom and wife Patti of Weed, CA; Keith Odom of Farmerville, LA; and Rex Odom of Farmerville, LA; sister, Faye Stewart of Hammond, LA; and special friend, Nita Bearden of Farmerville, LA; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Harlin Knight, Richard Horrell, Emmett Filmon, Dennis Kyle, Bro. Barry Joyner, and Michael Crain of Sardis Baptist Church Farmerville. Honorary Pallbearers will be all the Deacons of New Prospect Baptist Church of Dubach, La. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2013, from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville, LA.
