Mr. Thomas “Tommy” Cupit, 88, of West Monroe, LA. was born April 24, 1932 in Delhi, LA. and passed away May 5, 2020 in West Monroe, LA.

Tommy was great man, loving husband, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to many. He served in the Army during the Korean War from 1949-1952 in the 1^st Infantry Division stationed in Germany. He belonged to the Masonic Lodge 419, attained the rank of 32^nd degree Mason. He was a truck driver by profession, and a member of Fair Park Baptist Church. Thomas was preceded in death by his father Cagie Cupit; mother, Allie Lee Mayfield; sisters, Delma Lett and Lucille Skipper; brother-in-law, David Lee Craighead; grandson J.R. Searcy.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Marjorie Craighead Cupit; daughter, Janis Lynn Cupit, Phyllis Kay Guirlando and husband Rocco; son, Thomas D. Cupit, Jr.; step-sister, Judy Mayfield Blakely; grandchildren, Tracy Wayne Crocker and wife Shana, Tommi Lynn Reynolds and husband Thurman, Casey Guirlando; sister-in-law, Gayle Craighead; great-grandchildren, Justin Searcy, Maegan Searcy, Rocco Guirlando, Alexis Bush, Teigen Reynolds, Jake Crocker, Jack Crocker.

Due to climate of caution with Co-Vid 19 a private graveside service will be held at Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery, near Farmerville, LA. Saturday, May 9,2020.

To Margie and all your family. My prayers and thoughts are with you at this time. Tommy was a childhood friend and a co-worker in later years. He was held in high regard by all who knew him. May God comfort you and family . Rest in peace, Tommy.

Kay, Buddy, Mrs. Cupit, My heart and prayers goes out to you all. No one will ever replace a Daddy or a Husband or a Pawpaw. That pain and void will be with you forever. All you can do is think of the good times and the memories. And ask God to be with you and to help you .

To Mrs Cupit, Jan, Kay and Buddy, my thoughts and prayers are with each of you. Mr Cupit was a fine christian man. I have always looked up to him. I especially enjoyed our reminiscing of days gone by when I would see him. Love you all ❤️
