Funeral services for Mr. Thedford ¨Walker Duckett, 74, of Monroe, LA will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 8, 2006 in the Chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe. Officiating will be Rev. Glen Gore. Interment will follow at Twin Cities Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe. Mr. Duckett was preceded in death by his father: Chester Duckett; brother: Wayne Burney; granddaughter: Brandi Duckett; great grandson: John Paul Duckett. Walker is survived by his loving wife of 49 years: Jo Ann Hall Duckett; daughters: Jane Jackson and husband, Scotty and Cissy Aymond and husband, Shannon; sons: Walker Duckett, Jr. and wife, Judy and Terry Duckett, Paula Duckett; 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; mother: Gladys Burney; sisters: Billie Jean Stamper and husband, George, Mary Etta Stowell; best friend and hunting buddy: David Waldrop. Mr. Duckett was born April 14, 1932 in Grayson, LA and passed away November 6, 2006 in Monroe, LA. He served 4 years in the U. S. Navy and was owner/operator of Northside Barber Shop for 49 years. He was a member of Crossroad Baptist Church in Grayson, LA. Papaw ¨Duck, as he was affectionately called, enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with his family. Pallbearers will be James David Kennedy, Joe Barton, Eddie F. Conley, Michael Waldrop, Glen Stamper and Gary Stamper. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Crawford≠s Hunting Club and devoted customers of the Northside Barber Shop. Visitation will be 5 P.M 8 P.M., Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe.
