She loved her family dearly and was dearly loved in return. She was a shining example in her faith and prayer life for her family and friends her whole life, especially in the later years. She maintained a positive outlook through difficulties of life and health issues. She was truly a quiet, loving, caring and beautiful spirit.
When young, she and the family lived in Delhi Louisiana, North Dakota, Shreveport, LA, Covington, LA, Buras, LA, Sterling and Kenai , Alaska. She graduated from Kenai Central High School, Kenai, Alaska in 1965. She then went to a business school in Hawaii, and attended Northeast Louisiana State College in Monroe, Louisiana. Susan was a hard and dedicated worker. She worked a number of years at Monroe Motor Supply, Bellsouth, and for many years at Fitch’s Superior Paint.
She loved plants and flowers and had a special way of taking care of them and helping them to thrive. She truly had a green thumb. She loved to travel and see new
places and visit the places we had lived before. She also loved to read and learn about new places. She loved the color, beauty and variety of nature in the flowers and of the birds. She loved photography. She loved to read and as a youngster and voraciously devoured books; a passion that continued her whole life. After retirement, she loved to read cookbooks, recipes and to cook. She loved trying new recipes and older ones found in the cookbooks.
She will truly be missed, but is now free from the limitations of aging and a worn out body. She has crossed to the Eternal Love of God found in Jesus Christ. Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for those that love him. And to a place especially prepared for her.
