Interment will follow at Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens in West Monroe, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe.Mrs. West was born on November 11, 1938 in Bonita, LA and passed away on April 26, 2016 in West Monroe, LA. She loved her family, enjoyed cooking and caring for them. She was a hair stylist for over 20 years. She was preceded in death by her son Gregory.She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Gerald; son, Keith West; daughters, Donna West, Dina Shields and husband, Jackie; sisters, Ina Dosser and Judy Spikes and husband, Jim; brother, Ellis Wayne Sebren and wife, Martile; and five grandchildren.Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe.

I am so sorry to hear about Mamaw, I so wish we could be there for you all. With that being said, I'm very grateful we were recently able to visit. Sean had her hamburgers which is his favorite meal with a huge smile on his face. I've only been part of the family a few years, but felt as if she was my own grandmother.
