Sheryl Lynn Turnbow, age 64, born on August 16, 1960 in Monroe, LA and passed away on May 5, 2025 in Monroe, LA.
A service led by Rev. Ron Brown to honor Sheryl’s life will be held Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, 1200 Lamy Lane, Monroe. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time Saturday, May 10, 2025 at the Lamy Lane location. Burial will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, Monroe, LA. All services are under the direction and care of Kilpatrick Funeral Home-Monroe.
Sheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Tom Elon Turnbow, Sr. and Juantez Honea Turnbow.
Left to mourn Sheryl’s passing are her sisters, Angela Thomson, Karen Hofford (Coy), Bonnie Robinette (Stewart), and Cindy Green (Bryan); brother, Tom Turnbow (Julie); nieces and nephews, Rob Thomson (Charlene), Kristi Thomson, Josh Hofford (Cassie), Reagan Wages (Jon), Micah Nguyen (Phuong), Seth Green (Natalie), Anna Grace Green, Abby Pepper (John), Tally Walker (Cody) and Rachel Turnbow; great nieces and nephews, Audrey, Cait and Ben Thomson, Jordan and Julia Thomson, Alyssa and Fianna Hofford and Emery Grace Green.
Sheryl was born as the fourth child in what would be a cluster of six children. Her four sisters and baby brother were her priority and she could always be counted on to offer assistance even for all of the family pets. She was a faithful caregiver to her mother for 20 years and now she has followed her all the way to heaven.
She loved her nieces and nephews, and her greats. She never missed a graduation, sports game, wedding or any life event of her nieces and nephews. They were her heart and she made time to attend every event, and to love greatly.
Sheryl enjoyed traveling, camping and game nights with her friend of 35 years, Telitha Doke, along with all of the ladies of the Sisterhood at her church. She had nothing but love for Jesus and those around her. Her sweet soul touched so many lives during her time here. Her favorite thing was to explore God’s creation and now she is getting to talk to the artist himself! We love you Sheryl…until we meet again.
Pallbearers will be her nephews; Josh Hofford, Rob Thomson, John Pepper, Phuong Nguyen, Cody Walker, Seth Green and Ben Thomson.

I’m sorry that I was not aware of the time of services but love each of the family and so sorry for your loss .

Cindy and family, Your sister lived a life pleasing to God. From the time we worked at Wellons forty years ago to the times I would see her around town over the years she always offered a smile and a friendly, heartfelt greeting. May God bless and keep you all.

I was so sorry to learn of Sheryl’s passing. She was funny, sweet and kind from the very first day I met her in elementary school. -don’t let her quiet way fool you! Her wit was quick and laugh contagious. I know you all will miss her. Hopefully, many fond memories will offer comfort.

I worked with Sheryl at the DA's office many years ago. She was always so sweet and willing to do whatever I needed her to do. I actually ran into her a few years back and she still had that sweet smile. Prayers are with her family.

Sheryl was one of the sweetest people and we know you all will feel such a huge void. We love you and are praying for you!

Such a sweet and beautiful Soul that was just full of Love for all who knew her...Heaven truly needs her. She will be sorely missed on this Earth. I last saw and talked to her at her Mother's visitation and she was so loving and full of life, and Yes, I will say again that I will miss her sweet, beautiful smile and hugs.

I am so sorry for your loss. I enjoyed worked with Sheryl when she was in the D A office. I worked at OPSO. She was my go to person when I needed help. I missed her when she transferred. Prayers for your family.
