Sherman Cater, age 83 of Ruston, Louisiana passed away at his residence on Monday, May 18, 2020. The family will have a memorial at a later date, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home-Ruston.
Sherman served in the United States Navy. Sherman is preceded in death by his parents; William Joseph Cater and Laura Ann Guthrie Cater.
Survivors include his wife Carolyn Cater, his children; Sherman Cater, Jr., David Cater, Kent Cater, Laura Cater Galvan, Wendy Cater, Ellen Percival, Jack Cater, Ora Cater and Scott Cater. Two sisters; Ellen Escareno and Eula Guimbellot Reeves.
