Funeral services for Mrs. Shelby Jean Rowland, 71, of Downsville, LA, will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at Crestview Baptist Church in Farmerville, LA. Jean was born on July 9, 1946 in Monroe, LA and left this earth on November 18, 2017 in Downsville, LA to join the love of her life of 53 years, Shelby Eugene Rowland, in their heavenly home. Shelby and Jean were married on May 29, 1964 and after 4 months and 23 days apart, mom and dad are together again for Eternity. She was a retired bookkeeper and tax preparer. She loved painting, art, sewing, cooking for her family, spending time with her grandkids and rocking on the back porch with her true love. She is also preceded in death by her mother, Lulu Pearl Gammill, father, Marshall Smith, sister, Margaret Ann Hollis, special aunt and uncle who raised her, J.D. and Dorothy Smith, mother-in-law Beatrice Foster, and father-in-law, Winford Doyle Rowland.Survivors include her children: Theresa Lynn Rowland McCoy and husband Kerry of West Monroe, LA; Marshall Doyle Rowland of West Monroe, LA; grandchildren, Morgan Taylor McCoy, Macie Bell McCoy, Daniel Evan Rowland, and Marissa Isabel Rowland; niece, Sharon Parker; sisters, Sue Cheryl Pace and husband Stevie, Joyce Tootie Molnoskey and husband Gus; special cousins; Gayle Green, Elaine Brown and Barbara Smith; brother-in-laws, Jerry and wife Rose Rowland, Doyle Edward and wife Linda Rowland, Dewayne and wife Monica Foster; sister-in-laws; Sharon and husband Steve Kelley and Pam and husband, Talmadge Stutts; numerous nieces, nephews and her faithful companion, Mitzi.Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Crestview Baptist Church.Donations may be made to Crestview Baptist Church or the Susan G.
