Funeral services for Sarah Evelyn Posey Wallace, 84, will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe.  Rev. Robert Hill will be officiating.  Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in West Monroe under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes, West Monroe.  Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM until the time of service.

Sarah was born on August 5, 1940 in Forrest, Mississippi and passed away on June 22, 2025 in West Monroe.  Sarah loved her job as Director of Ridge Avenue Daycare, many years ago.  She was a member of Ridge Avenue and loved her church family and they loved her cooking.  Sarah always enjoyed watching birds and having quite time for writing.  Mostly, she loved her family and spending time with them.  Sarah was preceded in death her son, James Britt; parents, Lonnie and Sarah Posey.

Sarah is survived by her husband of 53 years, Prentice L. Wallace; daughter, Deborah Fisher and husband John; daughter-in-law, Debbie Britt; grandson, William Fisher and fiancé Molly Sides; brother, David Posey; numerous nieces and nephews; along with other cherished family and friends.

Honoring Sarah as pallbearers are Britt Evans, Josh Parks, Roman Beard, Mike Parks, Grant Wallace and William Fisher.

The family wishes to thank everyone at Stoneybrook Memory Care for the care provided.  Also, a huge thank to Compassus Hospice during a difficult time.
