Sallie Lisette Colvin Aulds, 96, of Ruston passed away on July 16, 2017. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 4 PM at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Jim Davis, minister of Ruston Church of Christ, will officiate. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 18, 2017 from 5-7 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston, LA.Sallie was born on March 21, 1921 to Thomas Clay and Eva White Colvin. She was a graduate of Ruston High School, a member of the Ruston Church of Christ, and AT&T Pioneers. Sallie worked as an evening group chief telephone operator for South Central Bell for 36 1/2 years until retirement.Sallie Aulds is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lavonne Allen (Pete) Aulds; brothers and sisters-in-law: Rodney Colvin and wife, Sarah Alice , Abbie Colvin and wife, Marie; sisters: Inez Sharpe, Lucille Berryman and husband, Shelton. Survivors include her daughters: Carolyn Aulds Lewis (Henry) of Cypress, TX and Debora Aulds Rathburn (fiance, Don Adams) of Ruston; sister, Nell Colvin Roach of Ruston; grandchildren: Shonda Lanham Story (Bill) of Kingsland, GA, Shelley Lanham Klingler (Brett) of Piedmont, SC, Christopher Rathburn (Megan) of Ruston, LA, Laura Lewis Brown (Greg) of Magnolia, TX, and Robert Henry Lewis of Ruston; great granddaughters: Tristin Lanham, Makayla Lanham, Devin Lanham, Bronwyn Klingler, and Rosalie Rathburn; and a host of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.Mrs. Aulds resided at Alpine Nursing Facility for the last four years. She always embraced life to the fullest with meeting new friends and loving the activities: singing, art class, and especially Bingo!
