Funeral services for S. T. (Estee) Echols, 99, of Ruston, will be at 3:00 PM on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Emmanuel Baptist Church under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, March 18, from 1:30 until the service at the church.Estee was born in Castor, LA on January 28, 1919 to Ned and Hester Warren and passed away after a lengthy illness on March 15, 2018 in her home surrounded by her family. Estee enjoyed being a housewife and watching over her growing family. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, a Sunday school teacher, and a choir member. Estee was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy Willard Echols; son, Paul Echols, and infant son, Barry Echols.Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Estelle Chrismond of Marksville, LA; son, Roy Echols and wife, Marijon, of Downsville; daughter, Carole Aston and husband, Brian of Choudrant; daughter-in-law, Linda P. Echols of Choudrant; grandchildren: Shane Echols and wife Carmen, Amy Allen and husband Shannon, Malcolm Echols and wife Melissa, Meredith Smalling and husband Cory, Joshua Christian, Taylor Zachry and husband Justin, and Haley Hogan and husband Tyler; great grandchildren: Chelsey Garner and husband Anthony, Asa Christian, Chase Echols, Cooper and Codey Smalling, Austin and Ethan Allen; Katie and Jack Echols and Tyler Jaxson Hogan; great great granddaughter, Abigail Camille Garner; and a host of nieces and nephews.Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Shane Echols, Jack Echols, Shannon Allen, Tyler Hogan, Austin Allen, Ethan Allen, and Chase Echols.The family offers a special heartfelt thank you to her sitters who became family: Mrs. Pam Ketchens, Mrs. Jennifer Lee, and Mrs. Jessica King.
