Funeral services for Ruth Elizabeth “Liz” Parker, 75, of West Monroe, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, June 9, 2025, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe.  Bro. Chad Parker will officiate.  Interment will follow at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes, West Monroe.  A visitation will be held at 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.

Liz was born on December 4, 1949 in Monroe, Louisiana and passed away on June 3, 2025.  Liz attended First Assembly in West Monroe where she played the piano and sang in church for many years. She also ministered at Evangel Temple and she also served the Lord in ministry by working and singing at the nursing home each week. She also traveled and ministered with a singing group for many years. Her nieces and nephews were her pride and joy.  She was as special to them as they were to her.  Liz was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. John M. Parker and Margie Parker; brothers, Rev. Michael Stephen Parker, Billy Donovan Parker; and nephew, Stephen Keith Parker

Liz is survived by her nieces, Laurie Parker Smith and husband Darren, Courtney Parker and husband Scott; nephews, Chad Parker and wife Casi, Jeremy Parker and wife Dylan; and numerous great and great-great-nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Shirley Parker Bailey and Linda Self Parker.
