Funeral services for Ruby Almond, 83, of West Monroe will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, June 28, 2020 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Rev. Marvin Wink will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Paschal’s Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM.

Ruby was preceded in death by her husband Tom Almond; parents Donnie and Irma Knight, 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Ruby worked at West Monroe Guest House for almost 25 years as a nurse’s aide. She had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need. Ruby loved to cook for her family and have them all together.

She is survived by her sister Nancy Sturgeon, children Clinton Loflin and wife Judy, Gary Loflin and wife Laurie, Danny Loflin, Kathy Graves and husband George; Marvin Almond and wife Jennifer, Donnie Dotson and wife Margareta; step-children Tommy Almond and wife Shirley, Robert Almond, Delories McCaskill and husband James, Billy Almond and wife Shari, Susie Ivey and husband Ray and Norman Almond and wife Shelby; 24 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
