There will be a celebration of life for Roy Skeeter Green who went to be with the Lord on September 14, 2018 at 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 16, 2018 First Baptist Church Calhoun. Rev. Neil Everett and Bro. Wade Coker will officiate. Interment will follow at New Chapel Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 15, 2018 from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.Skeeter was a loving husband, father, grandfather and faithful friend to many. He served in the United States Air Force and was a member of the Urim #111 Masonic Lodge of Calhoun, LA for 50 years. Skeeter was a member of First Baptist Church, Calhoun, LA. He loved working with his hands and produced beautiful wood work. Skeeter was always ready and willing to help others with their remodeling or construction projects.Skeeter is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ima Nae Green; sons, Scott Green and wife Beth and Troy Green and wife Kathy; grandchildren, Caroline Green Barton and husband Steve, Spencer Green, Jayden Green, Brian Green and Jackson Green; brother, Bill Green and wife Ricki; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives.Pallbearers will be Dr. Don Coker, Ray Coker, Mark Coker, David Jackson, Wayne May and Mark Gable.Honorary pallbearers will be members of Urim #111 Masonic Lodge .In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Calhoun Building Fund.The family would like to thank the staff of Landmark Nursing Home and Ascend Hospice for their loving care during Skeeter Illness.Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.kilpatrickfuneralhomes.comKilpatrick Funeral HomeWest Monroe, LA
