Funeral services for Ronnie Whitehead, 79 of Point, Louisiana will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, June 18, 2021 at Providence Baptist Church. Rev. Jimmy Yocum and Rev. Louis Bartet will officiate and interment will follow at Acree Cemetery in Point, Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday at Kilpatrick Funeral Home~West Monroe and from 1:00 p.m. until service time Friday at Providence Baptist Church in Point, Louisiana.
Ronnie was born on August 31, 1941 in Downsville, Louisiana and passed away on June 12, 2021 in West Monroe, Louisiana. He was a deacon and a member of Providence Baptist Church. Ronnie had a variety of skill sets that he took great pride in; he was a mechanic, a delivery driver for Monroe Cigarette and Tobacco, wood logger and a small engine repair man. Ronnie was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Mary Francis Castle; father, Victor Lee Whitehead; mother, Evon Johnson Whitehead; brothers, Roy Whitehead and Jimmy Whitehead; brothers-in-law, Earl Wayne Biggs, John Castle; sister-in-law, Marie Whitehead.
Ronnie is survived by his children, Donald “Don” Whitehead (JoAnn) and LaRonica Whitehead; grandchildren, Anna “Katie” Whitehead and Victoria “Tori” Whitehead; sister, Nancy L. Biggs; brothers, Larry Whitehead (Ethel) and Bobby Whitehead (Sherry); sisters-in-law, Celie Whitehead and Louise Rushing (Bill); self adopted daughter, Christina Vessel; numerous nieces, nephews and many other cherished family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Bubba Whitehead, Rory Whitehead, Chester Coburn, Lonnie Littleton, Charles Simpson, Jody Rushing, Travis Guice, and Travis Whitehead. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Sant, Bobby Littleton, Steve Bearden and the deacons of Providence Baptist Church.
