Funeral services for Ronnie Thomas Griffin, 69, of West Monroe will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, July 27, 2022 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe with Pastor Tom Lowe officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Oak Grove, LA. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10:00 AM until service time at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
Ronnie was born February 20, 1953 in Jackson, MS and passed away July 22, 2022 in Shreveport, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents W.T. Griffin and Loretta Dartlon Griffin. Ronnie was a member of Christ Church for many years where he proudly served as usher and also volunteered to help when needed. He loved his church family and made many good friends there, some of whom he enjoyed playing Golf with. In his younger years Ronnie was known as a great pool player and dancer-we were told his nickname was “Smoothe”. He loved watching the LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints, and there was a good chance he would not answer the phone during the games. Ronnie was known for his great smile and kind, gentle heart. He loved easily and was easily loved.
Ronnie is survived by his son Brandon Griffin; siblings Carolyn Maggio and Sandra Correro and husband Mike; nephews Jason Correro (Karen), and Michael Correro; great-nephew Jase Correro.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Correro, Michael Correro, Ricky Lett, Jeff Ray, Bruce McDaniel and Jerrell Hanson.
Serving as honorary pallbearers John Hanson, Danny Black, Preston Davidson, Phil Odom, John Harper, Mike Mathieu.
Memorials may be made to Christ Church or Charity of your choice.
