Bear & Cara Williams left a message on November 2, 2013:
Dear Peggy, Bart, Rusty, Robin, and Charlie; Ron was so special to us it is hard to put in words. Receiving the news while in Thailand was so hard for us, especially when we had so many wonderful memories of the time we traveled with him there. We are so sorry to have missed the service, but you are all in our hearts and thoughts- always. -Bear & Cara
Ann and Bill Nichols left a message on October 29, 2013:
We met the Thompsons in 1964 at our church, and they have been our dear friends ever since. So many fine memories---the time in Arkansas, watching our kids grow up, visits back and forth, and much more. Ron was like a brother, and we totally respected him over these nearly fifty years. He loved the Lord and always kept the faith. As the Lord has promised believers, we will see him again. To Peggy and the rest of the family, we love you and will keep praying for you. May God bless all of you.

To a great man of God with a huge heart, and one who invested into God's Kingdom, both in Namibia & South Africa. Thank you for your encouragement, love, welcome, humour and generosity. May the love of our Lord surround you all. Rom. 8:35-38 & 2 Cor 4:16-18. With love from Paul & Marlene Witter & the Uitenhage Baptist Church South Africa

Dr. Thompson was an incredible man whose zest for life and sheer enthusiasm were unparalleled. What a joy it was to spend my teenage years with the Thompson family. A fine model of what a man should strive to be.
